Rumah Gadang, the Traditional House of Minangkabau (West Sumatera)

I would like to introduce our traditional house, called 'rumah gadang".  Ruman means house, gadang meand big, so the words of rumah gadang mean bih house.  Sometimes it is not big.  Rumah gadang is a cultural name for a traditional house whether it is big or not.   Tipicaly the house has gonjong which look like horns of water bufallo.  Minangkabau is the tribe from west Sumatera.  Minang means won and kabau means water bufallo.  So you may guess that minangkabau means waterbufallo which won the fight.  

 Ok ....here I show you the traditional house which called rumah gadang from west sumatera, where the people of minangkabau live.

Belitong Beach .

Belitong is an island located at the east of Sumatera.  My sister and her family visited the island about few weeks ago.  Here the pictures of the beach ..... isn't that amazing island.  I wish i could be there somedays.  There are not many people come to the beach. So, this beach where you can enjoy the quiet ...and the lonelyness.  

You can reach this Belitong Island from Palembang, South Sumatera.  Maybe you can directly fly from Jakarta Air Port.  Hotel is easy to find, you can find on internet and then book by phone or online booking.  So ....why don't come to beautiful Indonesia ?

Sumatera is one of a big island in Indonesia.  What is the special thing you can see in Sumatera ?.  Like other part in Indonesia, in Sumatera you can find many different art, cultures and beautiful places.  The topography in Sumatera is vary, where you can easily find hills.  So, it is the island of green.  Here one of the place I visited this year.

I love nature since I was very young.  So, Bromo wasn’t my first adventure. I had seen Singgalang, Marapi and 2 others mount in Sumatera, but Bromo was very difference.   The view is very unique that I have never seen something similar before.  

Bromo is a mount located in Java island, Indonesia. Bromo is popular tourism destination not only for local poeple but also for people from other country.  If you want to see Bromo’s view, come to Java and then find Surabaya, a quite big city in East Java.   It just take a couple of hours from Surabaya to Bromo.  People love to see sunrise in Bromo, so you need to come before sunrise, that’s mean before 5 a.m o’clock. Holidays to Bali

Bali is a beautiful Indonesian island, which is very popular around the world. This beautiful island is the largest tourist destination in Indonesia and is well known for its highly developed arts, dance, sculpture, painting, metalwork, and music. Sanur is well known with its magnificent white soft sandy beaches, stretching south for about six kilometers with gleaming tidal crystal like water and ending in the mangrove marshlands opposite to the Serangan Island. Sanur beach is considered one of the safest in the island because it has a reef-sheltered lagoon

Some people call Bali as a paradise island.  I am just agreed as it a tropical island where you can find wonderful beach, lush green landscape.  The culture is unique and the people are just friendly.  So, just come to Bali and you are not going to regret it.
